I think you always need a frozen banana for creaminess, mango for the flavor, frozen blueberries for added antioxidants (and who doesn’t love blueberries anyway) AND I add flaxseed meal because it thickens it up/ has so many nutritional benefits.
Flaxseed meal (also known as linseed meal), I'll add to any smoothie or bowl. It contains soluble and insoluble fibre, keeping you fuller for longer and aiding digestion. It has Omega-3 essential fatty acids which can only be acquired by our body through our diet. I think I'll dedicate a whole section of my blog towards nutrients- their benefits/ use in our body and what foods to get them from.
